About
If I’m anything, it’s productive. Idle time is wasted time in my book. I’m sure much of my work ethic came from my parents, but there’s something innate in my personality that keeps me driven to do more, make more, be more.
I was raised in Northern Virginia just outside of Washington DC, attended Vassar College and drove cross-country to Los Angeles after graduation. I’m lucky to live in Hollywood with my wonderfully funny and talented husband and a sassy Chihuahua.
Beyond running my own business and making music, I serve on the Hollywood Hills West Neighborhood Council as Transportation Chair. LA is my home and I want to make it the best it can be.
Websites
I started creating simple HTML websites in college. After successful stints in merchandising and marketing at several e-commerce startups here in Los Angeles, I now run my own web design and consulting company helping startups and established e-commerce companies build and improve their online stores. I’ve also had a few web-based businesses of my own, including The Welcome Mutt (dog supplies), Poop Bag Club (eco-friendly poop bag subscription service), Lucy’s Pillows (handmade pillow covers) and LA4Beginners (insider’s guide to Los Angeles). I’ve got a few new ideas in the works, so stay tuned.
Music
Music has been a passion since I was a child. I started playing piano at five years old, took guitar lessons in high school and sang in choirs and a capella groups from middle school through college. With my BA in Music from Vassar College, I intended to work in the music business when I moved to Los Angeles, but instead ended up in e-commerce. In recent years, I’ve revisited my musical side, writing songs and performing at open mics. In 2016, I released my first EP under the name Dani Good.
